Two versions active simultaneously
Permalink
I thought everything was fine with my very simple concrete5 designed website at:
http://www.rochesterdharma.com
Now, suddenly, I realize I have a version of pages from a couple of months ago showing up as live. Upon further investigation, I realize the old version shows up only when the url:http://rochesterdharma.com is entered (leaving out the www).
If I enter the full url:http://rochesterdharma.com the newest version is active.
Very frustrating! Perhaps it is just an extra index or configuration file in my file sets that is confusing things.
Would deleting all past versions clear this up.
Thanks very much for any help or light you can shed on this.

It could be cache, that would be the first thing that I would check. But actually having your site display on both I think is an SEO no-no, and will also do things like make disqus comments display wrong and logins / api keys with secondary services like google or twitter not work. I think you can usually set your host to forward to one or the other, or possibly do it in htaccess?
Yeah, see this:

You can add define("BASE_URL", "www.rochesterdharma.com"); in site.php and fix the issue.

NT,
This sounds like it would work. I will give it a try and let you know how it goes.

hereNT,
It was the cache, after all. I didn't realize 'clearing the cache' didn't just mean my browser's cache and that there was a cache to be cleared from within Concrete 5. Thanks much for the help. This can be marked "Answered"

Sweet, glad it worked for you. I can't mark things as 'Best Answer' but you should be able to do that when you're logged into concrete5 again.
I will do that. Thanks again.
