Unable to connect to database
Permalink
Hi,
I have just installed concrete5 on my website and everything worked fine. Then I accidentally deleted my database and am getting "Unable to connect to database. A database error occurred while processing this request." When I click on the "Return Home" button, nothing happens. How do I correct this? I recreated the database with the same name as before, but that didn't work.
Thanks,
-Jonathan

Yeah I know. Pretty crazy. I was setting up two websites at the same time with similar names. I thought I was logged in on another account, so I deleted it and then realized it was the wrong one. Thanks for the reply. That's probably what I'll have to do.

Have you checked your site.php file in your /config folder to make sure that all your DB connection details are correct?
Did you replace the deleted DB with a backed up copy of the same file?

How did you accidentally delete your database?
As you wrote, you just installed C5. So I think the easiest way is to delete the installation, create a new database and reinstall C5.
Kind regards,
