Hi,

i just set up a fresh opensuse lamp server and tried to install the newest version of concrete5 with sample content, but i ran into following issue with mysql:
mysql error: [1048: Column 'uID' cannot be null] in EXECUTE("INSERT INTO Config (cfKey,cfValue,uID) VALUES ('NEWSFLOW_LAST_VIEWED','FIRSTRUN',NULL)")

this error was already reported in february. but in context with varnish and browser cookies enabled. but i neigther run varnish nor have cookie issues.

any help appreciated!

So here comes the funny part:

I desperatly wanted to use concrete 5. So I installed version 5.4..something. And it worked like a charm. Then i updated to 5.5.2.1 and it worked. So i got curious and updated to 5.6.0.2. And it worked unlike installing it directly. Strange enough.

But i got a lot of problems like no edit mode and no dashboard when i'm looking at the blog.
Any idea how i can help fix these problems?

Same here on a fresh install of 5.6.0.2
Both with an empty site and the prefilled sample site.

openSUSE 12.2 - apache2-2.2.22-4.7.1 - apache2-mod_php5-5.3.15

I'm going to try your upgrade scenario to see what gives.

The install of 5.5.2.1 went flawless.
The upgrade to 5.6.0.2 went flawless.

But now I can't log in anymore :-(

Hacking the database as perhttp://www.concrete5.org/documentation/how-tos/developers/i-cant-lo... doesn't work.
Resetting the password using the email link doesn't work.
Using the instant_admin script doesn't work.
Removing all cookies doesn't help. No cookies are blocked nor am I using a cookie blocker.

The funny thing is if I use an invalid username C5 nicely displays an error message saying that the username or password is invalid.
But for the existing admin and instant_admin user, there is no error message. The login page is either refreshed or I'm redirected to the homepage without being logged in.
All in all this is very frustrating and I'm getting nowhere. I'll probably go back to CMSMS.

Cheers,
Ceaus
