Unable to Edit

C5 has been up and running on my site for months. Last night, I logged in to create a new page ("Mission Statement"). The "Add Page" worked, but when I finished editing and clicked "Update", the page went back to home.
Then it got worse. The editor would only partially come up, sometimes it did, sometimes it came up in a raw html sort of mode.
Since I was still on an older version, I upgraded to 5.3.1. Cleared my site's cache. Cleared my browser's cache.
Some of the really strange behavior is gone - the editor comes up - but when I try to save an edit, it just dumps me back to the main page.
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!

so your site js namely jquery.js and jquery.ui changed, make sure your browser cache is clear as that created some problems for people :)
Sounds pretty fringe though, who is your host?

I saw your post in another thread. Thank you. I have tried clearing everything, cache included. I have tried FF on two different machines and IE on one of them. No luck!
Is there some non-obvious, super clear procedure I need to perform?
sorry.. using Micfo. Like I said, this has been running great until just recently...seemed to occur before I upgraded...which is why I upgraded.

I compared to a working site, and it seemed largely similar...
