Unable to upload files

Hi
I have just installed Concrete 5.0.0 and think it is a fabulous product.
The only problem I am having is when I try to upload an image. I am simply presented with a message that "The uploader requires Adobe Flash".
I have Flash installed on my local machine, does this message mean that it is also required on the Server?
All help will be gratefully accepted.

Flash 10 broke a lot of uploaders, perhaps this one was also a victim.
I haven't upgraded yet and I won't be doing so, but I usually just use the single file upload.

flash 10 just broke the uploaders that used javascript to make calls to the FileReference class.
swfupload is probably the most popular one. But the one of concrete5 is completely flash, and therefore should work (and does on my computers with flash 10) fine..

there is a change in the way the flash player deals with file uploading planned for v10 that was basically going to bork the way everyone had done it before.
looks like we'll have to actually update that thing. We'll include the new FLA in it when we do as well.

tell me if single file AND multi-file upload isn't working for you...

first off, thanks for everybodys input. i think it was a combination of factors:
when i installed v5.0.0 i did it in two sessions and think i may well have installed some of the files to the wrong place (yes i know... i'm a muppet!)
before having read all your replies i decided that maybe i needed the latest version of flash, so installed flash 10 (yes i know... i'm a muppet)
finally i uninstalled v5.0.0 and have used v5.1.1 (hopefully that has shown that i'm not a complete muppet)
the single file upload works fine, but the "add multiple file" button still takes me to the page telling me i need adobe flash.
short term though this is more than suitable for the project that i am working on.

Your server does need to know how to handle the mime type, but I doubt this is your problem.
