Update 5.5 on Godaddy servers

I tried to install the latest version of Concrete 5 as an update on a godaddy server website, which has been functioning very well in 5.4.2.2, and it isn't working anymore. Any ideas?

Did you take a full backup of all files and database before the update so you have a good restore point?
