Update from 5.6.3.1 to current

Just Host did an update to the current version of Concete5 now I can not get in to work on the site. Anyone have a process I can follow to get the site running again?
you can't update from the version 5.6 to 5.8 directly , that's why your site is broken, ask them to restore backup.
Thanks for getting back right a way. There engineers are now working on it, but, I have no way of contacting them until they call. But I will let them know.
