Update to 5.5 Error- Please help!

Hello there,
I continue to get the following error when attempting to log in to the admin account to update my site. I tried to install the new 5.5 update, clicked on the link and then hit the stop button in the browser (I realized I didn't back anything up...). I wonder if that has anything to do with this, but I still cannot figure out what this error means and how to fix it. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
