update to version 5.4.2.2 error (kunden directory?)
Permalink 1 user found helpfulI am stuck! Anyone with an answer to help me? I have several updates to go through for this website.
Thanks.

'kunden' is German for 'clients'
'd295427947' is probably your client id
'htdocs' holds your website
From what version are you trying to upgrade?
When it comes to upgrades, I usually do manual upgrades as you are asking for.
This is a great how-to on doing manual upgrades, which tells you to download the zip-file, unzip the concrete folder over your existing one (on the server) and then run an upgrade script located at 'yourdomain.com/index.html/tools/upgrade': http://www.concrete5.org/documentation/how-tos/developers/manually-...
You should also read up on the upgrade information for each version here: http://www.concrete5.org/about/blog/core-releases/...
http://www.concrete5.org/documentation/how-tos/developers/update-ve...
After 5.4.2.2 you should go to 5.5.2.1 and then on to 5.6.0.2.
I went to Concrete5.org and downloaded all updates in a separate file on my computer, and unzipped them there. I went through my FTP program to get to the root directory, and just created a folder called "/updates" and uploaded the unzipped folder version I needed which was 5.4.2.2 into the new /updates folder. I knew the first one I was updating to by looking at the dashboard maintenance area and clicking on update, it told me what the next update version was. After uploading that version folder, I then went back to the dashboard, maintenance, and update area and clicked on that update button and it worked like a charm. I repeated this process until all were updated. One important thing I did was to back up my database after each update.
Thank you especially to GregJoyce, adajad who helped me with your very quick responses... your information finally made it so easy to complete all updates.
