updating concrete 5 on bluehost

I have a website hosted with an outdated version of concrete 5 hosted on bluehost, im not able to edit it or add content of anytype because it is outdated i believe, i was wondering how i check the version of concrete 5 i am using and if possible, how to upgrade it without re-building the website. The website was build by a friend so Im not too familiar with the version used.
