how long do the updates take to run?
I have started one an when I try to log onto the site I get the following message:
Warning: require(/customers/6/2/a/europeanopen.org/httpd.www/updates/concrete5.5.2/concrete/startup/config_check.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /customers/6/2/a/europeanopen.org/httpd.www/updates/concrete5.5.2/concrete/dispatcher.php on line 17 Fatal error: require(): Failed opening required '/customers/6/2/a/europeanopen.org/httpd.www/updates/concrete5.5.2/concrete/startup/config_check.php' (include_path='.:/usr/share/php') in /customers/6/2/a/europeanopen.org/httpd.www/updates/concrete5.5.2/concrete/dispatcher.php on line 17
Im hoping I haven't done anything wrong

I also just updated to 5.5.2, and when it said it was complete, and I browsed the site a bit to make sure it was OK, I removed the /updates/concrete5.5.2/ folder, resulting in similar error:
"Warning: require(updates/concrete5.5.2/concrete/dispatcher.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in X:\c5\concrete\startup\updated_core_check.php on line 8"
I then re-extracted 5.5.2 to: /updates/concrete5.5.2/ again, and now it loads up fine.
So do I have to always keep that /updates/concrete5.5.2/ folder there? I don't think I had to keep anything in there on any previous updates... (at least the rest of the folder was empty).
Thanks

When you update the C5 core, the new core is referenced from the updates folder (not over-written to the main concrete folder). You always need the updates forlder because that is the executing code.
Thanks, and YUCK! An extra 30MB / 3k files just for a 0.0.1 update (I came from 5.5.1)?
I wonder why I didn't have anything in that folder before? (I've done a few updates before)
Ok, so is there another way to update so I don't have to keep that whole 'extra copy' of Concrete5 in the updates folder?
Thanks! :)
