Sounds like something on our server side stopped the process
( maybe a php limit ?)
This type of thing has happened to me before. I would revert back to the version that worked then delete the new version (make a back up) and start again

Why are you seeing the installation menu when you are upgrading? Can you tell us how you went about upgrading your site?

Hello,

I don't understand your question. I you want to figure out what's going on, just go tohttp://www.lavoixlibre.ca and you'll get it.

My site is not developped (as I know, because I'm not a Web specialist) via Concrete5 but with Joomla.

When I get into PhpMyAdmin, I don't see any Concrete5 database.

I just don't know what's going on.

Help.....

Thank's !!

I forgot to answer to your question.

I went to upgrate Concrete5 because mon host sent me a message telling me to do it (as it send me other messages telling me that there's new versions of software I should take care of).

As I did'nt know that Concrete5 was a CMS, I thought it was necessary for me to upgrade....

Ok, so it seems you have installed Concrete5 when you already have a site built with Joomla. To fix this, the easiest thing to do would be to ask your web host to restore your site to a recent backup (obviously before you installed Concrete5).

If that is not available, then you will have to remove the Concrete5 settings from within the .htaccess file to get your site back working, then delete all of the Concrete5 folders to tidy things up properly.

Let us know if you can't get the web host to restore your backup and I'll see if I can give more detailed instructions of what to do.

Hi,
First of all, thank you for your precious help.

Before to go ahead with your suggestion about restore action, I decided to understand a bit how all of this work. I'm not the one who developped my site, and now, I have to handle it.

In public_html dir, I found :
1. No index.html file. Normal ?
2. The .htacces file is there, but empty. Normal ?
3. There is a index.php file, and it contains
<?php
require('concrete/dispatcher.php');
Normal ????

Thank you again...

Hi again,

Finally, I found that the file index.php has been changed while Concrete5 upgrade. I restored the previous file (I had a backup) and my site is now on again.

Thank you for your help and all informations you gave me that allowed me to fix the problem !

Have a nice day !
