Upgrade from command line

Is there any way to perform an upgrade to Concrete5 via command line tools? I would like to:
- Place the server in maintenance mode
- Copy the files (that part is easy at the command line)
- Run the update
- Change the server back to non-maintenance mode
Three of these have to be done from the browser. I would prefer a command line option to do them.
Any suggestions?

I think someone posted a howto on that, so searching or googling the howtos may provide an answer.
Google yields no results I coudl find. I am guessing this has not been done yet though I did find a How-to on installing from the command line using the CLI tool
