Upgrade not showing under updates

I have a 5.5.2.1 site. I tried to upgrade via the dashboard to 5.6.3.4 but this gave a fatal error so I rolled back and have uploaded 5.6.3.3 into the updates directory to do a manual update but when I go to the dashboard > Update page it still just shows 5.6.3.4 as being available for download. How do i trigger the upgrade to the version i uploaded?

Don't panic! I figured it out. I needed to download the latest update first, then I could see the list of available updates.
