Upgrade to 5.4.2: Can't save page properties

Hi all,
I upgraded successfully to 5.4.2 for one of the sites i am developing. However, I have just noted that there no longer appears to be a save button on the page properties window (as accessed from the site page list), thus making it impossible to update page attributes.
has anyone else come across this?
