Upgrade problem - "basic_test" handle?

The message I get when trying to upgrade 5.3.0 to 5.3.2 =

have you been making custom blocks in your old version?
Yes, but that shouldnt affect upgrade, at worst the block should not work anymore
Ok, so i've uploaded the "basic_test" block to the server and now...on to the next error: No block found with the handle vistalicious_search found. (and the block is there)
deleted all references to vistalicious_search block including directories...then re-uploaded
Now upgrade works...FWEEUUW

I am upgrading from 5.3.1.1 to 5.3.2 and received the following error:

I didn't understand how you solved your problem. Any insight would be appreciated.

I also have a similar error:
This occurs when I'm refreshing core database tables and blocks in "Sitewide Settings" -> "Debug"
I havent customized the autonav block code, but I have added custom templates into the /blocks/autonav/templates directory

I also have another problem which some of my updates on user attributes such as display on member list checkbox are not working. It remains unchecked.
I have no idea if this error is somehow related to that or not.

For future reference I solved this problem by temporarily renaming the blocks\autonav folder. Was just using it for a template but this seems to interfere.
