upgrading to 5.4.1 the file manager had disappeared.

Everything else seems fine, its just the file manager won't connect either through the Dashboard or the front end.
Running on a linux server with lots of other C5 installs, they all seem fine which is a bit odd.
Any help would be gratefully received, else I'll roll it back. thanks guys.
