Upgrading to 5.4.2.2
Permalink
I admit I'm not the greatest at keeping up-to-date. Previously tried upgrading in March and ran to some problems. Didn't have time to deal with it again until today. First problem was that I didn't see where I could put my site in Maintenance Mode. (I think from trying to upgrade previously...). Didn't back up the database, either. (I know, DUMB move...)
Tried upgrading anyway and things haven't gone well. When I go towww.www.mysite.com/index.php/tools/required/upgrade,... it wants to do a fresh install - asking for info on MySQL databases (name & password) - I don't have the password (set-up by someone else several years ago who no longer works here). I don't want to wipe out everything I had if I don't have to.
When I go to mysite.com, here are the two lines of error I get:
Warning: require(/home/malt6601/public_html/concrete/concrete/config/localization.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/malt6601/public_html/concrete/concrete/dispatcher.php on line 100
Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/home/malt6601/public_html/concrete/concrete/config/localization.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php:/home/malt6601/public_html/concrete/libraries/3rdparty:/home/malt6601/public_html/concrete/concrete/config/../libraries/3rdparty') in /home/malt6601/public_html/concrete/concrete/dispatcher.php on line 100
I'd like to get just a regular index.html page up to say we are experiencing technical difficulties until I can get this fixed.
HELP! If anyone has any suggestions, please keep the techno-speak to a bare minimum and walk me through the process like I'm 5 years old. I can design stuff, but the behind-the-scenes stuff is not real easy for me.
Thank you!
