Uploading from a remote site question

In the file manager, there's an option to add files from a remote site.

When I tried to just upload a simple image from a remote site I got an Upload error message There was an error downloading.

Anyone got any ideas?

just tested on the latest svn version with an image from concrete5.org (my profile pic) and it worked fine,

Do you think it could be a permissions issue on the remote site?
