I just installed 8.1 and after login I got " Invalid form token. Please reload this form and submit again ". After reloading and submitting.. I get the " Welcome Back " screen.. If I click on return to website, it takes me to the login page where it starts all over again..
I've looked everywhere for an answer but no luck

Does your host have varnish turned on? Does this still happen if you turn C5 caching off?
Thanks but.. no joy.. I'm running local on xampp
Shut the cache off.. cleared the cache.. cleared browser cache and cookies
No luck...

Okay, major long-shot...
I, too, am running c5 in xampp (without problems); however, I've noticed that there are discrepancies between the c5 time zone and the php time zone. I wonder if this could be causing cookies to expire prematurely in your case.

Thanks... I didn't know that one.. Checked the PHP time zone and and it was set to Europe/Berlin..
Changed it to America/NewYork.. cleared the cache and cookies..
but still no luck.
