Very strange community connection problem
Permalink
Hi,
I'm running a new c5 project on a local vista machine (xampp) and cannot get acces to the community. Trying to login in from the dashboard produces an empty central dashboard-container (with the hover-menu at the top right) without any warnings or messages in it and generates with each login a new project in my c5.org account with the same url!
Thanks for your help :)

Is the machine you are using behind a firewall or other type of unusual network configuration?
mhm.. okay, but turning off firewall- and antivirus software doesn't help... same problem.... and by the way, I have another c5 project installed a few months ago (same c5.5.2.1 version on the same local xampp server) which is connected to the community.
Have you checked your apache logs?
wtf.. very good hint! thank you... just checked.. but no error
Okay... problem solved. I had active ad blocker and js blocker plugins in firefox. but I was aware of that and allowed all scripts and popups of the project domain... if c5 has already a connection thats okay. so I never thought that could be the problem. but as a matter of fact those plugins have to be deactivated completely for the very first initial connection from a fresh c5 project .
Thanks for your help.
