Who has c5 running on Linode Centos 6.2 or EC2 Amazon Linux?

Hi folks,
Do any of you have concrete5 running on Linode CentOS 6.2 or EC2's Amazon Linux ditro?
If so, what did you do to get the "quirks" ironed out (custom packages won't install, file manager and sitemap drop-down box missing, etc)?
The symptoms are similar to what others have had with SELinux, but I've 'chcon' set the proper labels, but it is still messed up. Note, neither Linode Centos 6.2 or Amazon Linux use SELinux, but these problems only occur on these 2 distros (that i've tried). I've installed C5 on Ubuntu without so much as a hiccup....
