A common place on Transifex to translate add-ons
Permalink
Torsten (@Tsilbermann) proposed to have a common project on Transifex where the concrete5 community can contribute to the translations of the concrete5 add-ons.
IMHO it's a great idea that should be discussed about in the concrete5 forums...

Mixing core and package translations would improve the visibility but, I'm fine with a second project as well!
Maybe we could talk to Transifex and get a deal for all paid concrete5 add-ons? We'd also need access to all the packages which we currently don't. That part would need a few things from the core team..

Hi guys,
I know Bernd (@bmatzner) has translated the commerce add-on. Cali (french community) has a huge list of translationshttp://cms.concrete5.fr/ressources/telechargements/telecharger-une-...
Often add-ons are translated not really well. Working on add-on translations together can be of benefit to the CMS. That improves the quality of the whole CMS. We have a well filled, growing glossary for german translations. If we could use it for translating the ecommerce add-on e.g. makes it much easyer for users to work with.
Translating the core works much better than on year ago. Transifex has already proven as the right place for translations.
I don't know how the guys at Transifex see it. It could be an argument that a lot of people spent time translating the add-ons (for free). But at this time there is no place to put that together.

All good subjects. Let's see what the core team thinks about it.
I'm very curious

The only drawback I can see is that Transifex only offers free services to free projects, so we can only accept translating free add-ons.
Furthermore, to have a greater level of visibility, I'd create a new project under the concrete5 Transifex organization (https://www.transifex.com/organization/concrete5-1... ).
I wouldn't add add-ons resources in the existing concrete5 project: mixing core resources and add-ons resources may lead to a quite unclear project.
