Could really do with some help !

Not sure why I did not get any reply yet to that question, I'm a bit annoyed as this is a detail that is holding me from terminating a website for a client ....so really if someone could help that would be great !

My pb has to do with the multi language add on ... changing the language modyfies all url paths from index.php?cID=130 to a format like index.php/es/something/ so once I change language all non of the links work anymore and lead to a 404 page.

I don't understand why and what I would need to do to correct this. Many thanks in advance

Sorry about the frustration you're having.

If I remember/understand correctly, there needs to be different sets of pages for each language you want to publish your site in. In other words, if you've got a site with 25 pages, you need to build another set of 25 pages with the translated content to correspond with each page in your original language.

There is a place (I think in the dashboard) where you map together the pages with the same content in different languages, so the system knows which pages to load when a site visitor changes what language they want to see.

Thanks ! It is indeed very frustrating, but I guess that is the price to pay when using open source ... I have followed all tutorials and really don't understand the logic .... so I guess I'm going to have to harcode this and forget the idea of using the addon ! I did post this in the internationalization forum, with no luck either !
