File manager - Upload files with unicode file name discard characters

Dear members,
I'm struggling to upload file via File Manager interface (both single and multiple files) that are having unicode characters inside. File is correctly uploaded, but characters from its name are discarded during the process (e.g., 'červěňoučký.jpg' results in 'ervouk.jpg'). Content blocks with unicode text are displaying fine. When I upload file via cpanel file manager interface for my hosting (Arvixe), it gets uploaded fine including name. Only when Concrete5 File Manager is used, characters are discarded.
I'm using Concrete 5.6.2.1

I am also facing exactly the same problem. Can anyone help?
The next version of concrete5 will probably handle better the file names (see the changes herehttps://github.com/concrete5/concrete5/pull/1494/files... )
