German Translation of 5.5
Permalink 2 users found helpful
Thought now that 5.5 is available in beta it can't harm to get language files out as fast as possible. So I created a first version of messages.po for German (see attached file). Since 5.5 is not available in mygengo yet, I thought this would be the most appropriate place to post it.
I noticed that translation is not working properly yet:
* For the last part of the installation when the progress bar is displayed
* For the dashboard popup page
* For the System settings (/dashboard/system/)
I guess these are known bugs though.
Feedback is apprechiated.

Hi Patrick,
thanks for the translation. Im'm not really fit in using poedit (Mac).
Do you have any news about translating?

Hi toddihh,
not really - at the moment I am waiting for an official 5.5.1 POT file to be released. Hope that will happen soon.

Hey Patrick,
do you want to work on translating c5.5.1 as well at mygengo? Would be good if you let me know here:

Thanks.

Sorry - just found your thread and wanted to link you to my post with my translation files download link which are nearly complete I think.
Maybe you want to compare your translation with mine.

That means there should be a pot file that includes them as well.
I quickly created one and attached it. Hope this helps other people who start translations of 5.5 in other languages.
Of course this will not be the final version since strings are still expected to change before the release of 5.5.
( Maybe it would be a good idea to make the pot file part of the github repository. )
