I can't get translation to work
Permalink
Hi, I need some help.
I followed all the instructions herehttp://www.concrete5.org/developers/translate/... to translate my site to spanish. I downloaded the 542.po file, got the mo file generated and moved it to the right directories. I was able to pick the new language from the drop down list in the multilingual settings in the Dashboard. However when I do that nothing happens. The language stays as English.
I need to be able to see everything in Spanish, the login page, the registration page, etc. Can this be done? What I did doesn't seem to do anything. I even installed the Internationalization add-on but it's the same. No translations at all. Please help.
The page that explains about translations says:
If you're running Windows, you'll need to download Gettext for Windows. > My site is running Linux. So, I didn't install this. Is this needed?
