I'm working on Persian (Farsi) Translation. How do I get all pages and stuff to turn right to left? (dir=rtl)

The problem is that translating the site won't do any good. I can change the theme as one would go to Persian or English, but still how can I switch between languages? Pishnahad: ki payas ye site poshtiban vase farsi concrete besazim? mese xoops? I have translated some packages, of course the free ones, but still some things are english some are persian and it's a total mess! So, isn't there any MILTILANG package available?

just add this to default css

text-align:right;
}

کد زیر را در فایل استایل بگذارید تا متن ها راست چین شوند
html{
direction:rtl;
text-align:right;
}

و بهمین سادگی هم میشه در اینجا فارسی نوشت!!!

In other CMSs I usually override directions in a new css and choose which styles to load in code. For example in OJS:

function getStylesheetFilename() {
   $curLocExt = AppLocale::getLocale();
   if ($curLocExt == "fa_IR") 
      return 'blueSteel-rtl.css';
   else
      return 'blueSteel.css';
   }

We may do similar trick for C5 themes... I'm working on it

I know this is quite an old thread.
I just wanted to add that there's currently the possibility to use a more generic approach to determine the language direction:

if (\Punic\Misc::getCharacterOrder() === 'right-to-left') {
   // Current language is right-to-left
} else {
   // Current language is left-to-right
}
