Add sequential reference code number to ProForms addon

A client is currently using the Proforms Addon to handle various enquiries on their website.
One particular form requires a reference number generating when an enquiry is submitted. This number will need to appear in the autorespond email to the form submitter and also my clients notification email. It will also need to be visible on the form overview in the dashboard and also included as a field in the exported .CSV file.
Ideally this reference number option will be a Question Type that can be added to any proform. Also ideally it will be a hidden field form that just generates a reference code number once the form has been submitted. Example (WIN1224, WIN1225, WIN1226 etc...)
This is just the first of a few jobs to customised the ProForm block.
