How do I change to advanced persmissions please can you give me a step by step guide in doing this .. I'm using a free software of concrete 5 and the website is being hosted by ipage.com please let me know of this issue thanks

Add this to your site.php file: 
define('PERMISSIONS_MODEL', 'advanced');

Where do I find the site.php file? please let me know where do I go to access this file?

I'm sorry for asking so many questions which may seem a bit novice but would you be able to tell me where the config directory is.. Can I access it from the concrete 5 dashboard? if not can you tell me where to go to access the config directory as I have tried everything to locate the directory please help me thanks.

You can find your config directory on your web server.

Log on with your web host account via ftp and you can locate the site.php file in public_html/config (assuming you have the installation in root).
