Cannot Add Blocks

Hi,
Recently, the "Add Block" feature has stopped working. You can select "Add Block", which opens up the "Add block" dialogue. When I try to select any block, it opens up the new window, but remains blank, and the thing spins in the center and doesn't stop.

From what I can tell, it looks like the url address is incorrect.
My concrete installation iswww.www.engineerable.com/design.... The URL that shows up when I select a block is: "http://www.engineerable.com/design/add_block_popup.php?cID=1&btID=1&arHandle=Sidebar"
It appears to be missing "/index.php/tools/required", such that the correct address should be something like "http://www.engineerable.com/design/index.php/tools/required/add_block_popup.php?cID=1&btID=1&arHandle=Sidebar"

I can still edit blocks just fine, but I can't add blocks.

I didn't install any blocks or themes or any other changes that coincided with this problem. It just happened all of a sudden. I appreciate any help.
Thanks,
Dan

I can take a look at your problem if you like.

I would need access to your dashboard and possibly access to your server as well, depending on what issues I run into.

Hi, I have the same problem with 3 sites.

On one site it says:"page not found", started with YouTube Videos and now I can't add any blocks at all.
On my other two sites the same spinning thing is happening when trying to add any block.

It feels like the sites have been hacked.

Take a look at this test page
http://www.webpagetest.org/result/120529_M7_PK3/1/details/...
You can see that you are probably causing "timeouts" from your server,
The images are HUGE with the total page load of 7,829 KB
and a load time of almost 61 seconds!

Compare it with one of my sites

Page load of 187 KB
Load time of 3.1 seconds.

Thank you, this is very helpful. I suspected this was the problem, however when I spoke with Dreamhost a few days ago, they said this should not cause the time outs.
We will resize the images.

Hello Weyboat,

thank you for forwarding this link, I was able to add blocks again, there was a setting through Dreamhost domain page that needed to be disabled. There is a discussion here:
http://www.concrete5.org/community/forums/usage/cant-add-any-more-b...
and this solved the problem.

In the mean time I took your advice and scaled down the images as well as re-designed with the slate them.
I took the test again, it seems to be a lot better, but wondering if you have any advise you could give to improve even further.

Thanks again!
