Contractor C5 Site Maintenance
Permalink
I'm seek a qualified and passionate C5 developer who loves what they do. I love C5 myself and have been working as a developer and project manager for over 12-years. A lot of my work is with Drupal and WP but I do prefer C5 now and I'm getting new C5 clients all the time.
Mainly I'm looking for someone to help me with site management. So these are existing websites, site owners have lists of things they want changed or new features to add, or bugs to fix. It's not quite as glamorous as building new packages or new sites, but it's steady work.
A big emphasis here is on somebody with good time management skills, someone very organized and diligent. Sometimes our client will be in a rush, we don't encourage them to be that way it's how clients are raised I guess. So we aim to make the workflow realistic, but starting jobs the same-day or next-day and working on them until they are finished or until their is a fork in the road where we have to wait for feedback is very important.
Some of our new clients will be sites that are broken, abandoned, inherited from rookies who mess things up and then run for the hills with their deposit when the bugs overwhelm them. For those jobs we want to showcase why we're called experts. We show up, we fix everything, we do it smoothly and quickly.
I'm no expert on HR so I go with a simple way of evaluating developers. I look at what you have contributed, especially code contributions, I look at any hosted code. I read any tutorials you've written, I look at projects you have finished. Then I like to have a talk, where I measure your enthusiasm and passion for the work. Don't bother applying if you're just into site building because it's a way to make a quick buck. Apply because you love programming, you want to work with others who care about quality, and you eventually you want the chance to work on ever increasingly cool projects.
Please submit rate information as best you can for "hourly work" as well as your standards for responsiveness, as in how quickly can you start a new job after being handed details. To save us all time I can say I'm looking for developers in the $32-45 range, I don't foresee being able to pay $50+ at this point for site maintenance, but those rates might be possible on projects.
Thanks to all who apply!
