Job Assigned - Developer required: eCommerce integration with Amazon, and email automation

Background

We use Amazon to sell and dispatch our orders (Fulfilled By Amazon FBA). Our website uses the Internationalization add-on.

We operate on Amazon US, UK, DE, FR with ES and IT to be added later. We only sell our own products, so the product catalogue consists of less than 10 products.

We need a system that can automatically download all Amazon shipped orders and identify whether a customer is buying a product for the first time or is a repeat customer. Based on the transaction type (i.e. first or repeat order) different email messages are sent to the customer.

We have AWS accounts with Amazon and they offer API’s that should be used for retrieving the information from their system.

A similar solution is available for Prestashop 1.6 (addons), but we prefer to integrate this within our site if it is cost effective.

The Project – Phase 1 backend enhancements and automation

We are looking for simple ecommerce solution to manage our product details and handle customers’ communications based on their orders placed via Amazon (and later via our own store – phase 2).

We therefore require (1) enhancements to the core eCommerce module (product, order & customers details), (2) facility to automatically import orders placed through Amazon, and (3) email system addon that can send automatic transactional emails to our customers based on their orders (html emails + attachments).
