I'm looking for someone to help me add some features to an existing (fully operational) website for my nonprofit. We hired someone two years ago to build the basic framework with the assumption that my husband (who works in IT) would be able to continue the upkeep and additions. Unfortunately (or fortunately?) he's so popular at work and continues to get promoted! He just doesn't have the time right now to help me with website updates and necessary feature building.

I'm a big believer in learning how to do things yourself, but running my nonprofit and taking care of my clients leaves me with zero time to educate myself on how to do this. With future funding opportunities at stake, I just need to get some of these website updates finished so I can continue to save lives!

I share all of this because I don't really know “the language.” I apologize if I sound kind of silly or stupid when I'm trying to describe what I need help with.

I also share this because our nonprofit has taken a deep financial hit due to covid-19. I will do whatever I can to try to work with someone, as long as they keep this in mind. I would also be more than willing to write a glowing recommendation for someone's portfolio in exchange for some sort of nonprofit discount.
