Issue after upgrade of Concrete5 page

Hi Guys

I'm working on some CSS design changes to a Concrete5 website and have upgraded it to the latest version so we can install the newest plugins.

Everything went well, but after the upgrade, all of our pages are saying "Page Forbidden" and I cannot login to the dashboard also.

Was hoping someone could help?

Thanks!

Got a link?

I have run into this before, try yhis:http://www.mywebsitename.com/index.php/tools/required/upgrade...

rerun the script

If you were logged in, to get into the dashboard:
/index.php/dashboard

I have run into this before, try this:

http://www.westpacbrokerbase.com.au//index.php/tools/required/upgra...

rerun the script

If you were logged in, to get into the dashboard:
http://www.westpacbrokerbase.com.au//index.php/dashboard...

that should bring you right into the dashboard

Thanks for that, I've done as you mentioned, I went back to the update screen and reran the scripts.

It then said it was successful.

Once I did that, I tried to go to the dashboard with your link, but it just takes me back to the page forbidden page still. No matter where I go, it's "Page Forbidden"

It's really weird, I can't even login to the dashboard :/

Can you get to the login page?

I just realised that you may be getting a login page.
The reason why I don't see it is because I'm logged in.

When I do log in, I get my basic theme template with Page Forbidden on it.

See attached screenshot - strange hey?

And it won't let you into the dashboard?

pm login credentials for the site...lets see if I can help. I know I had this problem a while back...scared the life out of me - but I cannot remember how I got it fixed.

That's correct

The dashboard bar doesn't come up at the top of the screen and when I go towww.www.westpacbrokerbase.com/login,... it just says Page Forbidden instead of going to the dashboard.. :/

/dashboard/system/optimization/clear_cache

Try tacking that on the back of your url...see if it will let you in

If you're logged in, can you land on:

http://www.westpacbrokerbase.com.au/index.php/dashboard/sitemap/ful...

If you can land on the sitemap, try resetting the permissions on the 'Home' page.

Weird, still getting a permission denied page..

May I ask, in Concrete5,

Why is it that there's a concrete folder in the root directory and then another concrete folder in the concrete5.6.3.1_updater folder?

The first is the core files. What did you upgrade to and from?

And did you back it up?

I would like to thank you guys for your help with this.
I have fixed the problem.

The login I was using was not an admin account and it turned out the admin password was unknown.

I had to do a salt change password on PHPMYADMIN on the admin login to change the admin password and then I gained access. It seemed the upgrade removed permissions for all users except the admin account.

All fixed. Once again, thanks SO much for your fast help!

Focus, man, focus!!

Just kidding... When you update to a new version, the new 'core' files are now located in the 'concrete' folder in the 'updates' folder. There is a line in your config/site.php file that points the system to the updates folder.

haha thanks, that makes sense.
I can see that now.

With all that in mind, any idea why everything's forbidden? :)

I am now seeing navigation so you must have made progress :)
mrdigital replied on at Permalink Reply
Ok so that clear cache must have done something, now all I have to do is
get the content to start working

BTW - the navigation is built into the template, it's not dynamic, done by
previous developers

Can you get to your sitemap and check permissions on the 'Home' page?
mrdigital replied on at Permalink Reply
No I can't - If I go to the sitemap, I get the same error that you are receiving when you try to go to the site, "Page Forbidden" , still.
