Need developer to help with few issues on site!
Hi! Right before making my site live I made the mistake of upgrading to the newest version of Concrete5. I believe this is what is causing a few pages on my site to display an error message - rather than the page. I'm looking for someone to help me get my pages to open again. Also the "learn more" buttons are not directing appropriately. I need help with this too.
Thank you!
Tiffany

What I found was enabling 'Pretty Url's' gave me problems with updating C5.
Try turning them off and then back on again. Clear your .htaccess file after turning off.
The 'learn more' are going to 'pretty urls', so once you have sorted your 'pretty urls' they will work.
If you cant update normally try pasting C5 5.5.2.1 'concrete' folder in place of the old one.
Check config/site.php is not pointing towards updates folder.
If you don't understand let me know.
Good luck

Example: /index.php/services/carpets/ (not pretty with navigation)
/services/carpets/ (pretty with 'learn more')

Thank you for this advice!
Question, how do you clear your .htaccess file? By turning off the Pretty URL's you mean check the "enable Pretty URL's" This brings up code in the .htaccess file. If I delete it and then save that - the code pops up again.
Sorry - I'm a newbie and have very limited knowledge of this stuff.
If I gave you access could you do this? Let me know how much $.
Thanks again!

This can all be done easily from the access to the file structure,
I have already sent you a message reference this,
Some of the "learn more" are referencing files in your trash folder,
Pretty urls will not fix this issue!

You are right. Can you fix this?
Yes,
as well as the info already asked for I will need login details for the site, please send them by personal mail,
I am located in the UK and am about to retire, but I will be "on your case" early tomorrow morning..

The other "learn more" button's are giving this error message:
67.227.203.66/~cleanspn/services/housekeeping/ (port 80)
Any idea how to fix?

I believe it always shows you the code, but the check mark is the determining factor.
In most cases, c5 can take care of modifying the .htaccess file for you, but in case it can't / for reference, it displays the code for you.
As long as it's unchecked and saved, you should be fine as far as pretty URLs go.
You may want to open the file, though, and make sure nothing else is in it that would mess things up. It's located in your root directory and can be edited with any text editor, such as Notepad.
