Need Help Converting Dreamweaver template to C5

I am making headway in learning C5, but find that the documentation is lacking and far too scattered to do this efficiently. So I am looking for someone in the US who has had experience in converting CSS/xhtml (no tables) templates to Concrete5 (version 5.5). Budget is open, but would prefer to discuss the details by phone. Thanks in advance.

I have read it, plus bought the Packt Publishing book "Concrete5 Beginner's Guide". Making a very basic template is quite easy. But some of what my customer needs goes beyond what is basic information, so I need help with that.

For example, a footer that will contain four blocks. How does that footer get edited once so that the content will then appear on all pages?

I'm a bit confused on the auto-nav. How can you have two separate navigation groups -- one for top level pages only that will sit in the header, and another for all pages under a specific top level page that will sit in the sidebar.

I've looked through the forum for weeks and have fought the scrolling pages until my eyes want to fall out. LOL. Joomla is a piece of cake for me, but difficult for some of my customers to learn. Concrete5 looks great for the customer if I can only figure things out.

And now it's time for more wine while I keep searching. :-)

You should probably be using global areas if you want to do an editable footer/header:

See the section under "Global Areas".

And by the way, we're here to help if you need some! Just PM me for more information.

Have a look at stacks for the footer or go into page types customise them and the click on the block to add to child page. It will make sense if you hack around.

I can do a little screen share to show you if you pm me with details or email address
