One Page eCommerce Theme

Hi guys,

I am really wanting a one-page checkout solution. I have tried to mess with the cart myself but don't have the php familiarity to execute it.

I will provide explicit & clear details on how I want it to look and even some preliminary thoughts on the code.

Frankly speaking, I think this is a major weakpoint of concrete5 as a CMS, seeing that the core commerce is really the only option. The shopping cart is a little bit archaic & the UX is too stretched out. I would be extremely grateful to the core development team if they could possible build it as an add-on to the current commerce?

If you are interested, please contact me.

I'm after the exact same thing and there has been lengthy discussion in the leaders forum on this.

What's your budget for this?

Well I don't know, I'd be down to put $100-$200 towards it but I would want to share it, and make a market place item of it..

I'm certain that almost everyone using the Core COmmerce right now would go for it.

Would be nice to hear thoughts from the core team?

I'd say this is quite a big thing to work on.

Why the eCommerce plugin has so many checkout steps?

Well, first of all discount codes might affect to price. The final price might affect to delivery options/price. The shipping address might affect to delivery options/price. The shipping or billing information might affect to the payment options and you might also be given some discounts depending on your other information etc. I'm sure I even missed something there.

So, I'd say only way to do this so that it would be compatible with all the eCommerce add-ons out there would be to do some ajaxing and fall back to the default process when JS is not enabled for the client.

We'd happy to help you out but this is very much a bigger project than the currently informed budget.

Ok,

So please DM your contacts and i'll send you a request for proposal... Or basically how I imagine it etc.

On a general note, I understand where you are coming from and I guess I'm a little bit disappointed at the inflexibility of the core commerce package. I mean its great that you allow me to modify attributes with a set, for e.g: shipping - but not allow me to turn it off altogether?

What if i am selling a service and shipping isn't an option?

What if i don't want any discounts at all?

End of rant :-)

We developed what you was looking for long time ago. It is the add on for the core eCommerce and is already approved by the marketplace community.
