Do you want the content to be EXACTLY the same across the sites (all the same pages, same structure, but different templates), or just some pages?

Ok, to be more specific...the two pages are not identical but share a lot of contend. So the contend is not exactly the same, only some.

what kind of content?

Contend: Pictures, Videos, pdf downloads and text. Maybe what I am suggesting is not possible - but it seems like one could connect two sites of one database. Both sites will get updated with new content frequently so I am not looking to just move contend from one to the other right now. Example - upload a new set of 100 pictures and be able to use them on both sites without having to do it twice. Thanks.

We have an add-on with which you can map different domains to specified pages within single concrete5 installation.

It seems that it could solve a lot of what you're trying to achieve here. It would give you the possibility to e.g. manage all the files for both of these sites in a single location. Also, if you want, you can even have different designs on these sites because concrete5 lets you set the page design page-specifically.

However, it hasn't been released to the marketplace yet since it hasn't passed the PRB process yet (although it has been there for over a month).

What we have done in the past is set up two sites with one database. We then installed the same themes and packages to each account, but create a symlink to link the files folder between the two. You could theoretically do the same for the packages and themes folder as well, but the only continuing change on each site is the files folder. So when something is added on one site, it gets changed on the other.

What happens is it is impossible to setup two different websites with one database, but I can find you some free services that you will be able to use for free to get another database for your second site. I can also help you create a symbolic link between the two concrete folders, so that you will be able to save the space the concrete folder takes up.
