Watermark add-on

Permalink 1 user found helpful
Hi,

I have a client that is interested in an add-on that would allow them to add a watermark to images that are in the File Manager.

So, they would upload a black & white PNG or GIF, and this would be imposed over the images in the File Manager at a certain percentage of opacity.

Does this sound like something that would be possible to do?

Thanks,
Colin

Hello,
Do you mean that the watermark would be applied directly to the pictures in the manager, even if not used on a page? or applied on the fly when appearing on a page?

If it's the first solution, would you keep a a copy of the original or just directly merge with the watermark?

Good question!

I think, for my client, the best scenario would be to apply the watermark to the images in the File Manager and then save them over the originals.

I would think an option to select which images to apply the watermark to would be good as well.

Thanks!

There's a free service that does this with minimal effort at http://picmarkr.com/

Upload your pics, select your watermark and it applies the watermark to all pictures for you and spits them back out for download. Very useful if you have lots of pictures to apply it to.

Thanks for the info. There's also some free or low cost desktop apps that will do this.

The problems is that my client is a photographer, and has a lot of images.

I was hoping to find a solution that they could use within Concrete5 so that they do not have to go through the hassle of uploading all the images again.
