Website is down

A freelance web designer built my website 'http://www.g3creative.co.uk' about 4 years ago using Concrete 5 and it is hosted by BT. The website has been down for 2 days and when I contacted BT they tell me that the Concrete 5 version requires to be updated. I cannot get into Concrete 5 to update this as my login details are no longer working. How can I update thehttp://www.g3creative.co.uk website so that it shows up again? I am a freelance design for print specialist and don't have much website/hosting knowledge.

Hi there,

We should be able to help with this as we are a UK based Concrete5 Agency. Would you be able to drop us an email to get an estimate?

Kind regards,

If you have not made any changes, the most likely reason is your host has updated php to a version the site is not compatible with. If you can check that, the immediate fix may just be a case of asking the host to go back to php5.6. (though that isn't a good longer term fix).

Thank you this could be the case as it is with BT and they tell me that it was built using an old version of Concrete 5 and it has to be updated. The only thing is that I cannot even get into my website - Login failed.

You don't need to get into the website to change that php version. That is done in your cpanel account. (I'm guessing that you have a shared hosting account). If your not sure how to access cpanel. Call your web hosting company and they can walk you through the process.

that's the right time to upgrade as most of the hosting provider have moved to PHP 7

I can fix this as a job.
I don't need to login to the site, just server access.

I agree with JohntheFish. Odds are its just a PHP version update your hosting provider did. If you can put your PHP version back to 5.7. The site should come back up.
