Website upgrade from 5.6.4 to 8
Permalink
I currently have a photography portfolio website that was initially set up by an old friend. I have since then been tinkering with it to the best of my knowledge, giving face uplifts and new functionality now and then.
However with the concrete 5 upgrade to 7 and then 8, i am kind of stuck in 5.6.4. The upgrade seems a bit too confusing/complicated for me, so I am looking for someone to upgrade my website to concrete8.
I understand some (most?) of the older/legacy add-ons / themes may not work with version 8, so this may require re-design in some parts of the website.
Have a look and get in touch if you are interested.

David is correct.
You can't upgrade as there is no direct upgrade you can do.
Starting from scratch on a version 8 site would be the way forward. You can migrate content using the migration tools but this can be tricky

Like TMDesigns said. There is no way to upgrade. If you want to develop a new version for version 8 feel free to contact me.
Hello etunar
As everyone else is saying there is no easy way to upgrade 5.6 sites to the latest version of concrete5 8.5.2. Your best solutions would be to create a new website based on 8.5.2. We would be more than happy to assist you with that process if you are interested. You can contact me directly at 301-395-9058 or leave your contact information at our website

There is a big change in the architecture from 5.6 to 5.7 & 5.8, I believe best advice is to set up a new instance of C5 version 8 with your theme and add ons, get all that working and copy the content across. I am based in the UK, Devon and am currently working with a Photographer in France with a 5.8 site have a lookhttp://davidbanks.fr/.
I can help you out if you like. Kind regards David
