Code not working

My domain was recently transferred to a new hosting account, not by my choice. Now it doesn't work and they are telling me to have my developer fix it. It worked fine on my last host. When I try to access the site I get this:

Fatal error: Call to a member function query() on null in /home2/bigjohn767/om-im.org/updates/concrete5.6.3.4/concrete/core/models/package.php on line 4

Any idea of what might be causing this?

Seems like concrete5 can't query the database, I assume the database credentials changed. Did you change them in your config file too?

If so, did you try emptying the "cache" directory?

...or perhaps the host didn't transfer the database users (although that could result in a different error).
