Problems upgrading
Permalink
Hi all,
I got some severe issues while trying to upgrade to V 5.6.3.5. The original site is running 5.6.2.1 and needs to be run (for a little while) in parallel with a Gambio GX4 installation on the same server.
Problem: Gambio GX4 needs PHP7.2 or newer
Concrete 5.6.2.1 does not run on PHP7
So the idea is to upgrade to Concrete5 -V 5.6.3.5 (which should run with PHP7.2).
All updates (tried different) fail [see error below]. Regardless whether automatic update or manual... also tried incremental updates (5.6.2.1 to 5.6.3.0 etc).
Weird thing: Server-Info shows "running 5.6.3.5" while admin panel states "upgrade downloaded but not installed". ??
Anybody any ideas ?

The best course of action here would be to manually upgrade
5.6.2.1 -> 5.6.3
5.6.3 -> 5.6.4
The 5.6.4 core is PHP 7.2 compatible, but if you have add-ons installed in your site you might run into errors with those and have to do some manual troubleshooting.

Nope, 5.6.3.5 will not run on PHP7, you will need 5.6.4.0 for that.
