404 Error when I try and activate a theme

I have a C5 installation on a shared server at IXWebhosting.com which is on a Windows based server. I managed to get C5 installed ok. Next if fetched the Little Italy theme and installed that. When I go to activate the theme, I get a 404 error from the server after I click the "Yes, Activate this Theme" button.

I contacted tech support at IXwebhosting, gave the tech my login information and for some strange reason, he is able to update the themes without a problem. Anyone have any ideas of what I can try to get this to work?

The only differences between us is that I was using IE9, he was using Google Chrome. I went and tried Firefox, same problem. He tried IE8, and had no problems. Very puzzling.

Any ideas anyone?

I got a message back from tech support at IXWebhosting as follows:
Our administrators checked current issue and found that the problem is related to web service settings which could not be changed for specific account. We also can not change these settings for whole server duo to the shared hosting environment. Unfortunately there is nothing we can do from our side to help you correct this issue. We recommend you to use Linux hosting for application in question or use our VPS plan where you can change any settings on web server. Thank you for understanding in this matter.

I enquired further to find out what settings that are causing problems and the answer I got was essentially the lines from the server error log as follows:

Our admins have provided the following information regarding the problem for your application:
#Fields:

Anyone know what might be wrong here?

Looks like I'll have to switch to a Linux based package, then use Iframes to link to the ASP data on the Windows server that is needed within my website....
