Activating Mobile Theme
Permalink 1 user found helpful
Greetings all.
I setup a test site here. Changed my mobile theme and even changed it back to view active one.
I go to it with my mobile and do not see a mobile ready site?
Is there some place where I need to activate besides in the theme area?
Thanks!

Are you're talking about designating a mobile theme in the drop-down on the 'Dashboard->Themes' page? If so then I don't believe that there are any mobile-ready themes in the default list. That drop-down is available for you to specify a mobile theme but you need to build or purchase or modify a mobile-ready theme first and then it will appear in that list for you to choose. Simply choosing one of the existing non-mobile themes does not automatically make that theme mobile-friendly if you catch my drift.
I got you, did not know that.
Assumed that under "Themes" when it said (below) "Mobile Theme", that is
what I meant. Very strange.
Mobile Theme
To use a separate theme for mobile browsers, specify it below.

I think they list all the existing themes in that drop-down because it is possible for a developer to modify any one of those themes to be mobile-friendly and not change the name of the theme. There is no way for a simple drop-down box to determine if a theme is, in fact, a mobile theme.
I have the same problem. I selected a mobile theme from the drop down box, but nothing took effect. Did you have to download a separate mobile theme?
