adding color to blocks

When editing and trying to add background color to blocks it only adds color to surround the text and not the entire block, looking like I've highlighted the text with my cursor.

Any suggestions?

That's strange. All that concrete5 does is wrap the block in a div with an ID such as "BlockStyle2" and sets the background-color property.

Maybe you are coincidentally using the same ID. Believe me, it has happened to me.

I just had that problem yesterday.

When I added a border it filled the entire area. If you don't want a different color border I guess you can make it the same color as the background.
