Background Pic - Transparent main window??

Hi all

I'm playing around with some ideas about a new site, but I dunno if this is possible:

I'd like to have a site with a full screen background pic, no or just small header pic, and a semi-transparent main window. It could maybe look a little like this:

I've got this as a theme, installed it, but it looks out of place, and I'd rather figure out how to do this myself.

Possible?

RizzzO this is very possible. Most of the work would be done in your css file. Opacity settings and all that. I have full background image on my site with a dark gray main content area. Did not fiddle with the background opacity though on a public site but I did use opacity on a couple of themes I am working on so it is very doable...just takes a little bit of extra time on your CSS file.

Hi - this is exactly what I'm looking for!
I am working with Clear View theme. How do you do this with the CSS - I'm a newbee - use small words;)
