Boldy Theme drop down code
Permalink 1 user found helpful
Good Morning All,
Currently, I don't have access to the market place. Therefore, I cannot download the theme.
What I need, is the code for how to get the list of links allocated to my pages to appear once the mouse is hovered over the main links.
If someone could kind enough to paste the code or send the files to chetan.2.chauhan@atos.net I would be very very grateful!

I am creating a website for my company, we have a local webserver.
So, when my website was hosted on c5host, I could download the free add ons.
So when I try to install a new add on i get the following message:
"Unable to generate a marketplace token. Please ensure that allow_url_fopen is turned on, or that cURL is enabled on your server. If these are both true, It's possible your site's IP address may be blacklisted for some reason on our server. Please ask your webhost what your site's outgoing cURL request IP address is"
So once I change the extension to php, where would I put the file, what folder does it go in? Packages?

You can upload the file to 'root/blocks/autonav/templates/' and apply the custom template on an autonav block.
You can also download all free themes and add-ons directly from the marketplace here on concrete5.org.

Unfortunately, this hasn't worked the way I had planned.
I still get the same, just hovers over and no drop down.

Did you apply the custom template?
I installed the White-space theme that I found off google for C5, due to my marketplace issue.
I have been making changes to that CSS to change the colours of my font and links.
Is there something I have done wrong or shouldn't have done?

Once you have added your autonav block, and still in edit mode, click on the navigation and choose 'Custom Template'. Then select 'Header Menu Dropdown', which should apply the dropdown template previously uploaded.
I'm still having no joy after doing this.
I do have pages associated with my main links in the site map.
I appreciate all the help you have provided so far, I really wouldn't have been able to figure this out myself.

This is how I would do it:
If the theme uses Global Area for navigation, I would go to the corresponding stack in the dashboard and add the autonav block with the dropdown custom template applied in there. That way the same block would be used through out the whole site.
If the theme doesn't have Global Areas, and just ordinary areas, I would go into Page Type defaults and add the autonav with the custom template applied on all page types. If there already are pages in your site I would also make sure to add the autonav block to all child pages as well (click on the block in page defaults while in edit mode and select 'Setup on Child Pages').
PS. If you click on the Marketplace here on concrete5.org and find a free add-on or theme you want to use, you can always download the archive (scroll down a bit) and install it manually by uploading it to 'root/packages'.

Just out of curiosity, how can you not reach the marketplace when you obviously can post in the forums?
