Cant Seem To Get Style Sheet Working

I am a newbie at c5. I just created a simple theme and i cant seem to get the style sheet to display the web page. It just shows a blank white page with 2 editable areas. Can anyone help and see what is wrong with the theme?

try this in place of your stylesheet link:
<link href="<?php echo $this->getStyleSheet('style.css')?>" media="screen,projection" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />
